MOVEMENTS

The most important of every automatic watch is its movement, a technological marvel which constitutes of many
minuscule and sophisticated gears and springs that provide the watch’s timekeeping functionality.  This internal mechanism moves the hands and powers any complications such as a chronograph, annual calendar or dual time zone. The movement drives all timekeeping functions and is essential to keeping accurate time. A watch would not function without it.

IRIDIUM uses world class automatic movements which have known for its reliability and robustness. In an Automatic movement the kinetic energy from the wearer’s wrist is transferred automatically to drive the mechanism inside the watch. The stored energy transfers it through a series of gears and springs, regulating the release of energy to power the watch.
